The Australian edition of Marketing Research: An Integrated Approach, Professor Alan Wilson's(Department of Marketing) best selling marketing research text book has been published. Professor Wilson's co-authors on this edition are R.Jones, University of Canberra; K.Miller, University of Southern Queensland; and R.Pentecost, Griffith University.
The Department of Management Science has hired Dominic Chalmers as their new Knowledge Exchange Co-ordinator. Dominic, who is also a part-time PhD researcher with the Hunter Centre, is looking forward to building links with industry and having the University live up to its motto of providing a "place of useful learning."
"I think I can build on the already excellent work that goes on at Strathclyde, and I am looking forward to experimenting with new mechanisms for knowledge exchange."
Dominic also sees one of his main challenges as reaching sectors of the local and wider economy that do not make use of the university knowledge base at present and who may benefit from the insight that management science can provide.
He will be working with Dr Matthew Revie who is an Industrial Associate within the Department of Management Science, and who has already established productive ties with industry through the Risk Consortium. Together they will aim to enhance the reputation of the Department of Management Science as a leading provider of Continuing Professional Development and source of knowledge and innovation for the local economy and beyond.

Malaysia celebrated the 2009 Graduation Ceremony on November 18 at Grand Dorsett Subang Hotel, Subang Jaya, with 43 graduating students. Among the 43 graduands, there were 3 MBA Awards with Distinction which went to Mr Fan Wai Hoong, Ms Jacquelyn Koh Siew Chin and Ms Emily Yew Hooi Phaik.
This year also marked the 20 Year Anniversary of the University of Strathclyde MBA Programme in Malaysia.
