Research posts for business school

The University has revealed plans to create 20 new posts in Engineering, Science and Business to support and enhance its world-leading research portfolio.

The John Anderson Research Leadership scheme will see an investment in academics from lecturer to professor-level. Four of the 20 posts are in the business school.

Professor Allister Ferguson, deputy principal with responsibility for research and knowledge exchange, said, "This investment builds on the ethos of our founder, Professor John Anderson, who created a 'place of useful learning' in 1796. Today's Strathclyde is modern and ambitious, and the creation of these new posts reflects our vision to take our place among the leading international technological universities."

The John Anderson Research Leadership scheme aims to find the research leaders of tomorrow who will also play an integral role in ensuring students benefit from teaching backed up by the latest research. The new business school posts will be in the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship and the departments of marketing, management and management science.
