Young Global Leader honour for MBA alumnus

Business school alumnus and member of the business school's UAE advisory board, Nabil Alyousuf, has been chosen as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum for 2010.

Established in 2004, the Forum of Young Global Leaders has the aim of bringing together some of the most ambitious young leaders from around the world to address global challenges and collectively work towards a better future.

Each year up to 200 outstanding young leaders from around the world are chosen in recognition of their professional accomplishments, commitment to society and potential to contribute to shaping the future of the world. This year, from a pool of almost 5,000 candidates, the Young Global Leaders were chosen by a selection committee chaired by HM Queen Rania Al Abdullah of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Nabil holds an MBA from Strathclyde. He is CEO of Nabil Alyousuf & Associates, a regional strategic advisory firm, and is also vice-chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dubai School of Government. He has been at the forefront of the development of Dubai, leading the strategy formulation team for Dubai Strategy 2015, serving as Vice-Chairman of the Arab Strategy Forum, introducing key performance indicators and guiding the restructuring of the Dubai Government, as well as helping to establish the Dubai School of Government in 2005.

He said, "Becoming a Young Global Leader is a great honour for me. I have always admired the YGL community, not only because it comprises young, distinguished and ambitious individuals, but also because of what they have collectively achieved as a group and the impact they have had on the global level. I look forward to being an active member of the Young Global Leaders community and contributing to designing and executing initiatives that will have a positive impact on our region and the world as a whole."
