Strathclyde UAE Debate

Three Strathclyde MBA alumni with human resources expertise took part in a panel discussion on careers after the MBA, in the latest 'Strathclyde UAE Debates' event attended by both alumni and current students.

Anne Tice (Strathclyde 2003) stressed the necessity of having a good fit with the organisation's culture, and the role of mentors and sponsors in providing unique opportunities and support. Roshni Antony (Strathclyde 2007) warned of the dangers of using 'MBA language' during interviews, without demonstrating how the MBA had translated into added value to the candidate's organisation. Amr Hassan (Strathclyde 2009) emphasised the need to view one's career progression as an exercise in knowledge-building and diversity of experience rather than simply promotions.
