Professor Foxall, Professor Hackley, Professor Paliwoda and Professor Evanschitzky

The Marketing department held its third Doctoral Research Day on March 3. The morning session comprised three speakers - Professor Gordon Foxall of Cardiff Business School who spoke on 'Understanding Consumer Choice', Professor Chris Hackley, Royal Holloway University of London on 'A Qualitative study of young people and alcohol', and Professor Heiner Evanschitzky of Strathclyde's Department of Marketing.

Professor Stan Paliwoda of Marketing co-ordinated the day which saw the afternoon devoted to PhD panels. He commented, "The papers were well received and this event is proving increasingly popular amongst PhD students in marketing as it combines research presentations with the opportunity for individuals to obtain input and advice on what they are specifically doing as well as being an increasingly important networking event."

As well as Strathclyde students, PhD students from Glasgow, Glasgow Caledonian, West of Scotland and Stirling universities attended.
