Strathclyde's MBA Alumni Association of Switzerland (SMAAS) has organised an event for May 6 featuring Iain Martin, managing director of IJ Martin & Co Ltd, and Gary Steel, chairman of ABB Sweden and ABB India, as part of the 2010 Speakers Event.
The talk is entitled "Leadership Abroad - an insider's guide to leading business across borders" and takes place at the Radisson Hotel, Zurich Airport. The event is a practical, interactive session. Both speakers are well-travelled Scots, now based in Switzerland, with extensive international business experience. Iain Martin is an experienced international executive and coach of senior leaders in global corporations, and will give insights into leadership, myths and realities around the world. Gary Steel will draw on his intercontinental experiences in the Shell Group and ABB Ltd to illustrate the challenges in leading businesses, and leading leaders, in a variety of cultures.
