Article by HRM professors receives award

An article co-authored by professors Patricia Findlay and Paul Thompson from the Department of Human Resource Management has been selected as one of the 50 best articles published in 2009 in management and has therefore won an Emerald Management Reviews Citation of Excellence.

The article - 'Collective Bargaining and New Work Regimes: "Too Important to Be Left to Bosses"' - was published in Industrial Relations Journal volume 40 issue 3 (co-authored by Alan McKinlay and Abigail Marks). Every article in the top 400 business and management journals world-wide is sent to independent subject experts for evaluation. The Findlay and Thompson article was then selected as one of the top 50 from the 15,000 articles reviewed throughout 2009. It is one of only three from the HR/IR field.
