Strathclyde professors contribute to new decision making book

Professor Colin Eden (Management) and Professor Fran Ackermann (Management Science) have just published a chapter in the new Handbook of Decision Making (Wiley). Their chapter, entitled Decision Making in Groups: Theory and Practice, sits alongside other chapters by prestigious academic writers such as Henry Mintzberg, Karl Weick, Kathy Sutcliffe, John Child, Dennis Gioia, Paul Nutt, Marshall Scott Poole, Andy van der Ven, and Haridimos Tsoukas.

The book, edited by Professor Paul Nutt and Professor David Wilson, is described by the publishers as follows: "Chapters in the Handbook were prepared by the leading experts in their field and include cutting edge empirical, theoretical, and review chapters. The chapters bring together for the first time a critical mass of writing on decision making as an organizational and research activity. The Editors are two of the leading international experts in decision making and contribute to the Handbook with five original Chapters that offer an appraisal of the field and suggestions for research, as well as the current status of decision making practice and suggestion for improvement."
