The first ever Strathclyde MBA Alumni & Students Networking Session organised by Strathclyde Business School's partner in Singapore was held on May 14. The YMCA Tertiary Education department hosted the event at which a total of 55 alumni members and students attended.
Miss Tan Tjioe Jan, manager of YMCA Tertiary Education, welcomed the guests and delivered the opening address. Mr K Mathivanan, an alumnus from the MacRitchie intake, shared his experiences and the knowledge he gained from the Strathclyde MBA programme, and how it helped in his career advancement.
The guest speaker for the evening, Mr Dominic Mound, from Commodity Appointments, a head-hunting firm, gave his insights on the commodities industry. Dinner and a networking session followed and the whole event was deemed an unqualified success, with those attending indicating a high level of interest in future networking events.
