The Strathclyde student winners of the Student Voice competition were presented with their certificates on June 10. Stephanie Anderson was joint first in the competition while fellow undergraduate Kirsty Chalmers came third, meaning two Strathclyders were in the top three of the UK-wide competition in which students had to write about the kind of assessment and feedback practices that worked best for them.

The competition is run by the Higher Education Academy's Business, Management, Accountancy and Finance (BMAF) Network, and works with the Association of Business Schools (ABS), with the aim of getting feedback from students on assessment, so the competition was for students in business education to have a voice and identify 'what works for me'.

Richard Atfield, assistant director of the BMAF Network, and Joe Clark, head of policy development at ABS, were at the presentation. Professor Val Belton and Dr Steve Paton represented the business school, which also received a certificate 'to recognise the positive environment that the student has described'.

Professor Belton said, "We are delighted to see SBS students doing so well and hope this will inspire and encourage more entrants in future years."
