Strathclyde professor's International Trade conference

This year's annual conference of the European Trade Study Group (ETSG) is to take place in Lausanne, Switzerland. Professor Ian Wooton (Economics) is the co-organiser and director of ETSG and the conference is the world's largest on International Trade.

This year the conference will run, from September 9-11, with the University of Lausanne hosting the conference.

Around 400 participants are expected to attend, with 300 papers being presented. A highlight of this year's conference will be a reception at the headquarters of the World Trade Organisation, where Director General Pascal Lamy is scheduled to address the group.

Strathclyde is one of three institutional sponsors - Professor Wooton, along with Professor Joe Francois, University of Linz, established ETSG in 1999. More information on ESTG is available at www.etsg.org
