Research helps history group

Over the last few months, Christine Reid, Learning Services Manager at Strathclyde Business School, has been working with the Glasgow Women's Library Women Make History Group planning and researching a walking tour of the Glasgow Necropolis. The focus of this tour is on the stories of some of the forgotten - and occasionally notorious - women who are buried in these atmospheric and ethereal surroundings - and women who played their part in the development of the city. The walk was launched in September as part of the Doors Open Day programme. In addition, last week it was recorded by BBC Radio 4 as part of Clare Balding's Rambling programme and was broadcast at the end of October.
