Commemorative issue of journal in honour of former marketing professor

A special commemorative issue of Marketing Intelligence and Planning in honour of Emeritus Professor Michael J. Thomas will be published on February 11 2011. This will be volume 29 issue 1 of the journal which Michael Thomas founded in 1983 on the premise that there should be a forum for marketing theory building and for good marketing practice.

This special commemorative issue is co-edited by Professor Stan Paliwoda (Department of Marketing), Keith Crosier and Maciej Rydel. The eminent Marketing guru Philip Kotler has supplied a foreword and contributors include Stephen Brown, Ulster University; Gerard Hastings, Roger Sugden and Mark Grindle (Stirling Institute for Socio-Management, University of Stirling); Mike Saren, Leicester University; Helen Borland, Birmingham University; Tomasz Czuba , Gdansk University, Poland; Helen Woodruffe-Burton and Susan Wakenshaw, Cumbria University.
