Professor Phil Taylor of the Department of Human Resource Management recently visited Hong Kong Polytechnic University, having been invited to give two guest seminars to departments in the Faculties of Humanities and Business. On November 22, Professor Taylor presented on 'Contemporary Developments in Sickness Absence Management' and on November 23 the subject was 'The Globalisation of Business Services in the Aftermath of Crisis and Recession'.
He was the keynote speaker at the 4th Talking Across the Word Conference (TATW) organised jointly by the Department of English at Hong Kong Polytechnic University and de la Salle University in Manila, the Philippines. TATW took place between November 25 and 27 and Professor Taylor gave the concluding presentation on the subject of 'Global Sourcing of Contact Centres After the Crisis'.
