Dr Eleanor Shaw - Spotlight

Dr Eleanor Shaw, Department of Marketing and Principal Investigator of the Centre for Charitable Giving and Philanthropy located within the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship, talks about her research involving entrepreneurial philanthropy – she is co-investigator in a major ESRC research programme awarded to the Hunter Centre which is focusing on entrepreneurial philanthropy in the form of individual and business giving, and is currently two years through the five year research programme.

In other news, Dr Shaw has been invited to speak at the inaugural meeting of the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship Special Interest Group in Social and Sustainable Entrepreneurship on January 19 at the University of Leeds. The theme of the event is "Social enterprise and philanthropy: their role in the new Big Society". She has also been invited to be a member of the committee and has accepted the invitation.
