Strathclyde Business School welcomes new Professor of Marketing

Professor Mark Tadajewski, co-Editor of the Journal of Marketing Management, has joined the Department of Marketing at Strathclyde Business School as the John Anderson Research Professor of Marketing.

Professor Tadajewski's increasingly influential work in Critical Marketing and the History of Marketing Thought has appeared in major marketing and organisation studies journals, and he is widely considered one of the most authoritative new voices and productive young scholars in the academic marketing field.

His latest edited volume (with Maclaran, Saren, and Stern), The Sage Handbook of Marketing Theory, was recently described as 'the most important compilation since Cox and Alderson's seminal Theory in Marketing was published in 1950' (Stanley Shapiro) and 'an essential resource for scholars' (Alladi Venkatesh). Professor Tadajewski is currently researching marketplace discrimination as it impacts on the theorisation of the consumer, and his appointment adds to the already impressive Consumer Theory research grouping within the Department of Marketing.
