Management consultancy event for MIM

Oliver Matar, chairman of APT Facilitators, Dubai, will be hosting a management consultancy workshop for students on the Master in International Management programme.

He will be joined by Yousif Alkhouri, Head of Corporate Excellence Section, Abu Dhabi Municipality, on March 4 at Strathclyde Business School.

"The Evolution of the Management Consultancy Profession" is an interactive workshop designed for the students to acquire general knowledge about management consultancy and gain insight into how the management consultancy business may evolve over the next 10 years.

Oliver Matar is chairman of APT Facilitators, established in Dubai eight years ago. He has successfully managed more than 60 large consultancy projects in 10 different European and Middle Eastern countries, with clients in the government, banking, building, trading and manufacturing sectors. He has supported several organisations towards improving productivity by up to 50% and has also supported organisations towards winning prestigious Business Excellence Awards such as Dubai Government Excellence Award and Dubai Quality Award.

Yousif Alkhouri is head of the Corporate Excellence Section in Abu Dhabi Municipality, the oldest government entity in the UAE. He started his career as a civil engineer in the Public Works Department after graduating from Vanderbilt University in the USA. He played the role of 'Internal Project Manager' for several consultancy engagements conducted by five well-known consultancy firms for Abu Dhabi Municipality mainly in areas of excellence and quality. Currently, he has assigned APT Facilitators as the consultant to work on the Excellence project in the Municipality.
