A Knowledge Transfer Project (KTP) between the Department of Management Science and Campbell & Kennedy Ltd., was shortlisted for the KTP Scotland Award 2011. The project, managed by Dr Jill MacBryde, helped the company develop a long term strategy, taking them into new, higher value markets and developing their internal processes in line with this growth strategy. The KTP partnership has helped the company to streamline operations and to address new opportunities, improving customer service and operational efficiency.
The award ceremony was held on February 1 at the Doubletree Dunblane Hydro Hotel. SBS was well represented at the event. While the Campbell & Kennedy project didn't scoop the main prize, an enjoyable evening was had by all and the company has partnered with SBS on a second KTP project, this time working with Dr Steve Paton from the Department of Management along with continued support from Dr MacBryde in Management Science.
