Orient Express CFO event for MBA students

Martin O'Grady is Chief Financial Officer of Orient-Express Hotels, owners and part-owners of 49 luxury hotels, restaurants, tourist trains and river cruise properties operating in 25 countries.

As CFO of Orient-Express Hotels, Martin O'Grady presents to institutional investors at hospitality investment conferences. He will be visiting Strathclyde Business School on May 19 to make a presentation to MBA course members who will then have an opportunity to role play as institutional investors.

After his presentation, Martin will invite questions from the audience to help them formulate their own 'investment' decision.

Martin O'GradyMartin joined Orient-Express in February 2008 from Orion Capital Managers, a European real estate investment firm where he was Chief Financial Officer.

Prior to joining Orion, Martin was CFO and one of two executive directors of Access, one of Europe's leading self-storage businesses. Access was a real estate investment of Security Capital European Realty, where Martin worked as a Vice President of Finance.

Before joining Security Capital, Martin spent seven years in Hong Kong and Indonesia with Jardine Matheson and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in senior financial positions. He began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, becoming an audit manager in the UK and USA.

Martin has a BA in Hotel Management from Strathclyde University and has completed executive education programmes at IMD and Ashridge. He is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
