First SBS Spring School scheduled for April

This April, around 40 MSc students from the departments of Management and Management Science will take part in the first Strathclyde Business School (SBS) Spring School. Spring School will give students the opportunity to take elective classes that would not normally be available to them on their course, in the same way that undergraduate students at Strathclyde can take electives from other programmes. It will also help foster cross-fertilisation between programmes, and help to build a wider MSc community across SBS.

Spring School will run in the first week of the spring vacation (April 4-8) and will be opened by Professor Susan Hart, Dean of SBS. As well as taking an intensive elective class during that week, students will be able to participate in other group activities, such as meeting alumni and international guest speakers, including Rebekah Russell-Bennett from QUT Business School which, like SBS, is a triple accredited business school. The Spring School will conclude with a reception for staff and students. It is hoped to roll out the Spring School to all SBS departments from 2012.
