Adopt a Station research presented at lunch

Matthew Alexander (Department of Marketing) was an invited speaker at First ScotRail's annual 'Adopt A Station' lunch in Glasgow on March 23. Matthew gave a short presentation on his PhD research which has identified the positive effects that adopted stations have on rail passengers, including improvements in station satisfaction and loyalty.

Matthew was accompanied by Dr Kathy Hamilton from Marketing who is also involved with a new project, working with ScotRail to further explore the antecedents and benefits of community involvement in station adoption.

The project has a number of research and knowledge exchange outcomes planned, including a website for station adopters to share their experiences, and final reports will go to ScotRail and relevant government agencies.
