Oman centre inaugurates new batch of students

Strathclyde Business School's Oman partner, the College of Banking and Financial Studies (CBFS), welcomed its new intake of MBA students in a ceremony on April 21.

Dr Mohamed Abdulaziz Kalmoor, chief executive officer, Bank Sohar, SAOG, Oman, presided over the inauguration ceremony and made the opening address.

Dr Ashraf Al Nabhani of CBFS said that the focus in the CBFS is primarily on building capacity in Oman with quality, and that CBFS is actively contributing to nation-building by enabling managerial expertise in Oman. Strathclyde Business School was represented by Ron Bradfield, Director of Strathclyde's UAE campuses, while alumni and student representatives also addressed those present before a group photograph was taken to mark the occasion. Currently the MBA programme in Oman has 185 enrolled students.
