Hospitality and Tourism leadership information session

Key individuals involved with the launch of the new Executive Masters in Hospitality and Tourism Leadership programme, an innovative new leadership programme aimed at senior level managers, will be on hand to talk to those interested in joining the programme at an information session to be held at Strathclyde Business School on September 7.

Following intensive research, a group of like-minded industry leaders, established as the International Leadership School in Scotland (ILSS), has joined forces with SBS and two other leading international academic institutions, Cornell University in New York, and École Hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland, to drive the new programme forward.

The primary aim of the collaboration is to ensure that the global hospitality and tourism industry will have the high-calibre, highly-skilled professionals it needs in order to move forward and prosper.

Aimed at senior level managers, the two year, part-time programme will provide a challenging international leadership development experience to aspiring industry leaders in the hospitality and tourism industry, or service industries, beginning in January 2012. The modular approach allows participants to remain in full-time employment and will be delivered in Scotland, Central Europe and East Coast American, providing a truly international dimension.

To find out more about the programme, Strathclyde Business School invites you to attend the information session on Wednesday, September 7, at 4pm in lecture theatre 1, level 3, Strathclyde Business School, 199 Cathedral Street, Glasgow. SBS Dean, Professor Susan Hart; the chair of ILSS, Peter Lederer; programme director, Professor Tom Baum; and CEO of ILSS and HITS, David Cochrane, will be leading the preview.

Anyone interested in attending should contact Laura Wardrop in the first instance.
