Management professor edits BAM anniversary journal

A special issue of the British Academy of Management's 4 star journal, the British Journal of Management, has been commissioned this month to mark BAM's 25th year.

Professor Peter McKiernan, Department of Management, edited the special edition of BAM's flagship journal along with David Wilson of Warwick University. Both editors are past chairs of the Academy and both are also Fellows of the Academy.

The special issue contain invited articles from influential international academics like Cary Cooper, Andrews Pettigrew, John Saunders, Lars Engwald, Joan Ricart, Jone Pearce, Howard Thomas, Armand Hatchuel, Thomas Durand, Richard Whittington. In addition, Professor Colin Eden (Department of Management) and Professor McKiernan had articles in the issue.

Professor McKiernan attended the Academy's 25th conference at Aston and said, "The special issue has gained a strong following already. The articles are pretty controversial and some launch a major attack on the current nature of business schools, the research assessment exercise and the nature of management education in general."
