China trip benefits for Accounting and Finance

Accounting and finance professor, Krishna Paudyal, recently joined the Financial Services Mission to Tianjin led by Education UK, Scotland. The objective of this mission was to support increased education collaboration between universities in Scotland and universities and companies in Tianjin, focusing on the financial sector.

As part of this mission, Professor Paudyal was very pleased to have the opportunity to visit Nankai University Business School to explore common areas of research.

Professor Paudyal was greatly impressed by Nankai University and the Business School and the kind hospitality he received during the visit. As a result of the meetings several research areas of mutual interest have been identified. These include research into venture capital backed IPO's and Corporate Governance Research.

Professor Paudyal and colleagues at Strathclyde Business School very much look forward to the prospect of working with Nankai University Business School, and in particular Professor Huang Fuguang and Professor Lin Runhui, to develop projects in these areas.
