Honorary Research Fellow reaches the Consultant of Year final

Strathclyde Business School Department of Marketing Honorary Research Fellow, Dr Simon Haslam, has reached the final of 2011 UK 'Consultant of the Year'. Dr Haslam will join four other finalists at the awards dinner in London on October 20. His nomination for the award was supported by client feedback and examples of project results. 'Consultant of the Year' is organised annually by the Institute of Consulting and the Chartered Management Institute.

Dr Haslam is a director of FMR Research Ltd in Glasgow and is the only Scottish based consultant in the final. His PhD, completed within the Department of Marketing in 2000, studied practices in management consulting firms. In addition to his consulting work Dr Haslam is a voluntary director for the community transport organisation NATA and a course leader on director development programmes with the Institute of Directors.
