Professor Kevin Ibeh recently visited Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, one of Malaysia's leading private Universities, on an activity-packed trip, which combined external examining duties with a couple of invited seminar presentations.

The first presentation was entitled "Towards Excellence in Research: Some Reflections", and it enabled Professor Ibeh to share some thoughts on research achievements and research excellence, including how these can be facilitated by a supportive and conducive research environment.

His second presentation discussed the University education system in the UK in comparison to a number of other European Countries, covering issues such as national and institutional brand reputation, national frameworks for research assessment, cost of study, links with industry and so on.

Both presentations were very well received and enabled Professor Ibeh to exchange views with colleagues on the most topical issues and trends facing the University Education sector around the world. Professor Ibeh also found time to pay a courtesy call on the University President, Ir. Professor Academician Dato' Dr. Chuah Hean Teik.
