Honorary Research Fellow comes runner-up in UK Consultant of the Year

Strathclyde Business School Honorary Research Fellow Dr Simon Haslam came runner-up, and was highly commended, in the 2011 Consultant of the Year award.

The Management and Leadership Awards are held annually by the Chartered Management Institute, and sister organisation the Institute of Consulting, and recognise the impact that individuals and teams committed to management, leadership and consultancy have made. This year's ceremony was held on October 20 at the Landmark Hotel in London. Dr Haslam was one of five finalists in the Consultant of the Year category and came second to Phoebe Dunn of Square Peg.

Dr Haslam co-owns Glasgow based FMR Research and his work focuses on enterprise, strategy and change management. His clients include several prominent private and public sector enterprises. Dr Haslam's voluntary activities include roles as non-executive director for the community transport organisation NATA and board member for the UK Social Research Association.
