Economics professor to give talk at Fulbright Scholars Forum

A group of US researchers who are in the UK as part of the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship Program – two of whom are studying at Strathclyde - will be visiting Strathclyde University in January.

They are in Scotland as part of an organised tour in order to experience the country and to visit the individual institutions that are part of the prestigious programme.

As part of their visit to their Scottish partners – Edinburgh, Glasgow, GSA and Strathclyde – the group of around 70 scholars will be visiting Strathclyde on January 10. Two scholars are currently at Strathclyde – Jordan Covvey (PhD in Science) and Bruce Bushman (PhD in Engineering).

Professor Jim McDonald will be welcoming them, and Professor Brian Ashcroft of the Department of Economics will be giving a talk on the Scottish economy. Professor Steve Graham, Executive Director of the Technology & Innovation Centre, will then be informing the scholars about Strathclyde's Technology & Innovation Centre. A final forum section will see a selection of the scholars present to the audience on their experiences of postgraduate study in the UK so far.
