Singapore MBA trip to Shanghai

The Strathclyde Business School Singapore MBA MacVicar cohort is organising the first SBS Learning Expedition & Cultural Exchange (SBS-LECE) to one of the world's most vibrant business centres - Shanghai, China.

The aim behind this is to enhance learning and to establish a culture of close relationships between SBS and leading companies in this region.

The students involved hope the exchange will help them develop a better understanding of the region's cultural, social, political and business environment, as well as allowing them to apply their business knowledge gained from the MBA programme. They also intend the exchange visit to increase their business network and promote Strathclyde Business School and its activities.

In this inaugural trip, from April 5-10, the students will be visiting two companies, namely, Agilent Technologies and Fu Yu Corporation Limited, to gain understanding of their business models. They hope to link and apply what they have learned from their MBA course.

The students have also organised an academic exchange with the current batch of MBA students at Shanghai Jiao Tong University to explore the latest Chinese management skills, and on top of the field trip and academic exchange forum, the students will have a 2-day Cultural Appreciation Tour to Hangzhou, visiting West lake, Dragon Well and Yellow Dragon Cave.
