Accounting and Finance Symposium ‘great success’

Strathclyde Business School hosted the 5th International Accounting and Finance Doctoral Symposium, chaired by Professors David Hillier and Krishna Paudyal, in June. The symposium is a long-standing collaboration between several universities (Strathclyde, Queensland, Monash, Leeds, Plymouth, Salamanca) whose purpose is to provide PhD students with an intensive research and networking experience with their peers.

Academic researchers attended from the US, Asia, and Europe and this was matched by a similar geographical breadth of doctoral students. The conference was deemed a great success and attendees commented:

“Very good Conference. Fantastic networking opportunities and chance to receive good, thorough feedback.”

“The 1-2-1 feedback was invaluable and the number of experienced academics present was very helpful.”

“Fantastic conference - hope to attend in 2013, I found the symposium a very insightful and positive experience.”

The 2013 symposium will take place in Bologna on June 18-20, 2013.
