Strathclyde Business Fellow Network launch

Strathclyde Business School has launched the Strathclyde Business Fellow Network to forge and strengthen the business school’s connections with the business community.

The initiative is part of the business school’s continuing commitment to creating mutually beneficial knowledge exchange partnerships between academia and industry.

Individuals representing leading international and Scottish organisations have agreed to be part of the network and include Standard Life, the Scottish Council for Development and Industry and Clyde Blowers.

Business Fellows will share their experience and expertise though a series of guest lectures and talks, while students will have the opportunity to enhance their studies through internships and work placements with member organisations of the Strathclyde Business Fellow Network.

Business Fellows will be able to offer MBA projects or internships, while the Strategic Consultancy in Practice element of the MBA programme will see teams of current students working as business consultants to develop solutions to the range of strategic challenges faced by businesses and public enterprises, eventually presenting their findings to the organisations’ senior management.

Professor Susan Hart, Dean of Strathclyde Business School, said, “By launching the Strathclyde Business Fellow Network, we aim to strengthen our engagement with the wider business community by allowing businesses access to our resources and providing them with the fresh approach that our pool of emerging business talent offers.

“We hope that by working directly with leading industry figures our students will be inspired to become the business leaders of the future upon graduation and develop the connections and skills gained while at Strathclyde Business School.”
