Professor is triple award winner

Professor Peter McKiernan, Department of Management, has been selected as winner in the institutional management category of the 2012 CEEMAN Champions’ Award.

Launched in 2010, the annual CEEMAN Champion Awards recognise and promote outstanding achievements of faculty, management, and staff from CEEMAN member institutions in the categories of teaching, research, institutional management, and responsible management education.

CEEMAN made the award for Professor McKiernan’s work in building up the British Academy of Management, the European Academy of Management and for founding and building the School of Management at the University of St Andrews.

This is the latest in a series of awards for the management professor. Earlier this year, he got one of the first Fellowships from the European Academy of Management for services to the Academy and to academia internationally. Professor McKiernan also holds a Fellowship from the British Academy of Management. He also joins the Center for Leading Innovation & Co-Operation’s International Advisory Board.
