Professor is keynote speaker at tourism conference

Emeritus Professor, Richard Butler, was Keynote Speaker at an international conference on Tourism, Sustainability and Climate Change at Bournemouth University (September 13-14). His keynote speech was entitled "Tourism, Sustainability and Climate Change: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, but which is which?"

The conference’s aim was to debate the broader conceptual ideas and contested relationships between climate change, sustainability and tourism as well as to examine worldwide responses and exchange cutting-edge research and featured keynotes from high-level policy makers from international agencies including UNWTO, UNESCO, UNEP, European Commission as well as leading research institutions.
