SBS Blog attracting increasing visitors

The Strathclyde Business School blog, launched last month, is going from strength to strength, with visitor numbers increasing week on week. There has so far been a mix of blogs on research and issues involving the business school world, student experience and guest blog pieces from alumni who have approached us with ideas for blog posts, which we have been delighted to receive.

Please take the time to visit our blog https://www.sbs.strath.ac.uk/blogs/SBS/ and read the posts, subscribe and get involved by commenting. You can read the latest post by Kristina Macaulay, Strathclyde MBA alumna and managing director of data security and organisational authentication consultancy, Global Identity. Her post discusses developments in data legislation in an increasingly information-rich society.

“Perhaps the most pertinent issue facing data security comes from a prevalent 'yes' culture, where ambiguities around 'consent' result from an inadequate and out of date legal framework: consumers do not have a full understanding of where their data is held, who it is sold on to, and what they have agreed it can be used for.”
