Scottish MBA and Postgraduate Fair success

The 6th Scottish MBA and Business Postgraduate Fair, held on Friday, February 1, notched up another success. In this long-running joint venture betweeen Strathclyde Business School and Edinburgh Business School, it was the turn of Edinburgh Business School to host his year, with the Fair returning to Strathclyde in 2014.

With over 15 organisations attending, at least 12 of them actively recruiting MBA students, the Fair has held its own in challenging economic times to become a key destination for recruiters who want to meet students face to face.

Irene Aitkenhead Taylor, MBA Career and Corporate Development Manager, said, "This is a pretty unique event in the UK. While regular exhibitors such as IBM, Amazon and Accenture had a presence, we were also able to attract companies new to the MBA market such as Virgin Money and Bloomberg, who without exception commented on the excellent calibre of the students attending."

She added, "We're also delighted that CBI Scotland continue to endorse the event, with their Chair, Nosheena Mobarik OBE, once again providing the opening address before she steps down from the role at the end of this year."

The Fair welcomes MBA students from throughout Scotland, including Glasgow, Stirling, Dundee and Aberdeen, as well as Lancaster, Durham and Newcastle in the north of England.
