SBS Dean nominated for Woman of Influence Award

Professor Susan Hart, Dean of Strathclyde Business School, was shortlisted for the annual Woman of Influence Award run by Action for Children Scotland which took place on March 23.

Now in its 14th year, the prestigious award recognises remarkable Scottish women who have made an outstanding impact on society, and act as role models to the vulnerable children, young people, and families supported by Action for Children Scotland.

This year's nominees were:

Carol Iddon, director of children's services at Action for Children Scotland, named Kirsty Wark as the overall winner, saying, "We strive to give the children and young people we support at our 80 services across the country the tools, motivation and inspiration to transform their lives and fulfil their potential.

"By recognising the women who have had a real impact on Scottish society with our Woman of Influence Award, we are able to give these young people truly outstanding role models. Kirsty has achieved a huge amount in her career, and she also goes the extra mile to support vulnerable people through her work with charities. That is why she is our Woman of Influence.''
