Recipient of the 2013-14 Local Counsellor of the Year Award

The fourth annual Local Counsellor of the Year Award was presented to Lu Yen Ng, MBA local counsellor for 'Making Strategy' in Malaysia since 2010. This year, a total of six nominations were put forward by MBA subject co-ordinators and international partners. Input on each of the nominations was sought, in a '360-degree' fashion, from student evaluations, subject co-ordinators, the subject's teaching team, international partners and administrators. The reports from these sources served to evaluate the nominations against the Award's main criteria: consistently positive student evaluations, engagement with the Strathclyde lecturer, and quality and timeliness of assignment feedback.

Lu Yen, seen in the centre of the photograph, received the Award in Kuala Lumpur, in the presence of this year's 'Making Strategy' students, from Soon Thiam Lam and Cristina Magat, respectively Chief Executive and Marketing Manager of CDC Management Development (Strathclyde's partner in Malaysia) and SBS's Dr Marie-Aimée Tourres (Academic Manager, Asia) and Dr Catherine Demangeot (Senior Lecturer in Marketing, Chair of the LC Community of Practice).
