Management science researcher wins prize at PhD colloquium

Taiwo Adenusi, research student in the department of management science, attended the Scottish DTC Business and Management Pathway PhD Colloquium, at the Stirling Management Centre, University of Stirling, April 28 and 29, and won the best postal presentation prize.

Attendees at the colloquium numbered approximately 100, including candidates doing the poster and slide presentation. In the poster presentation category, there were about 35 people short listed for the poster presentation from about seven business schools in Scotland.

Taiwo, who is currently a part-time second year research student, is supervised by Professor John Quigley and Dr Kerem Akartunali. The winning presentation was on “Decision Support Models for plant Maintenance Strategies Case Study – Oil and Gas Plants Poster Presentation”.

Taiwo’s research is majorly targeted at creating a framework to establish effective maintenance policy for a plant system and estimating the consequence on the life-cycle cost for different circumstances.
