On April 23 Strathclyde University hosted the finals and awards for Young Enterprise Dunbartonshire. This event marked the culmination of year-long entrepreneurship and marketing projects where school students had the experience of setting up and running their own companies.
Presentations from all finalists were followed by an address from the guest speaker, Dr Peter Hughes from the Scottish Engineering Council, who praised the quality of all the students and lauded the University of Strathclyde and Strathclyde Business School in particular.
In a tightly fought final the overall winners were Dumtartan Army from Dumbarton Academy, who also won the University of Strathclyde Award for the best marketing strategy, presented by board member Dr Juliette Wilson, Department of Marketing.
