Unleashing Your Entrepreneurial Potential

When: 26th August 2014 11-2pm
Where: Strathclyde Business School
Who: Dr Paul Ferri

How to pitch new ideas to your employer and win:

Have you spotted an opportunity to develop a new product or service or a new market segment, or another way your employer can make more money? You may be close to a customer who says “I wish that…”. You may see your product/service working well in one place, but can see another application for it. Or, you may see a better way to change the business model, and make considerable cost savings. To take this forward you will need to think like a start-up. In this taster session you will gain an insight into how the entrepreneur approaches these opportunities – identifying the true customer need and the total addressable market; testing the business model; understanding the decision making unit of a potential customer and determining your competitive advantage. All done at pace with limited resource. However, instead of pitching the idea to investors you are pitching it to your senior team!

If any alumni are interested in any of the taster courses please email Terrianne Gillan.
