This month the Institute for Future Cities formally launched their City Observatory ‘taster’ installation at The Lighthouse. Professor Sir Jim McDonald joined the team and representatives from industry and the third sector to celebrate this innovative showcase of what the Institute is planning for their forthcoming relocation to the TIC.
In the interim City Observatory, visitors can explore interactive maps of Glasgow and cities across the world, prompting us to think about how things have changed, why, and what this means for the future. The displays are juxtaposed against the fantastic backdrop of Glasgow’s cityscape seen from the Viewing Platform. The installation is open at The Lighthouse, in the 6th floor viewing platform, until Dec 2014.
