The regulation and oversight of Fintech

Maggie Craig, Head of Department, Scotland, Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), will deliver a lecture on the FCA’s role in the regulation of UK financial services. Maggie will provide an overview of the UK regulatory structure, including the FCA’s approach to competition and innovation. This will cover how the FCA supports innovation and Fintech within financial services, ensuring new ideas reach market while retaining the necessary consumer protections. Maggie will also discuss the different technologies the FCA is encountering and upcoming regulatory change important to the Fintech sector.
