Abstract: This talk has two main aims. First, as a recent arrival to the university I want to take this opportunity simply to introduce myself and my research around employment support to you all, outlining some of the key strands of my research interests. Second, I’ll quickly outline the nature of my current NIHR award around Individual Placement and Support (a model of employment support usually for individuals with severe mental health issues) and how I see its innovation as offering potential to long-standing challenges in the UK employment offer for individuals with health (and other more complex) support needs.
