The nature of management is going through cumulative and seismic changes across many sectors which has notable ramifications for managerial skill development. Increasing digitisation, agile and remote working and systems re-engineering are some of the key challenges businesses are facing. This mini lecture by Academic Director Kathryn Thory discusses the new management skills required to succeed in today’s workplaces and the manager’s critical role in developing performance, communicating, and nurturing employee wellbeing.

Through an exploration of these managerial elements, the lecture showcases the core themes of the Professional Management Practice module on the MBM and MIM programmes.  Whether you're a recent graduate or a working professional looking to enhance your managerial skills, this mini lecture will provide you with valuable guidance to make an informed decision about your future.
