Event Date: 12 November 2024

Time: 2.25 pm-3pm

Location: TL5.60

Abstract: My PhD is exploring an intensive whole family employability intervention in a region of Scotland. This presentation with contain a brief discussion of some of the main concepts in the intervention under investigation: a regional approach; a whole family approach; and employability. I will then go on to discuss some of the early findings and how these link the concepts of the intervention. Early data collection has focussed on scoping the services and gaining a broader understanding of how they work from the perspective of staff working within them and the funding broker agency. Data has been collected using focus groups, expert informant interviews, and observation in meetings and away days. Finally, I will look at the central question of whether or not these services fit within employability funding.
