This talk will explore the use of AI through a strict data science lens. The primary organisational context of this talk will be Police Scotland and, through this specific context, light will be shed on less strictly regulated organisational contexts through comparing and contrasting. Issues such as AI Ethics, Sustainability, Transparency, Explainability and Trustworthiness are much better exposed to interrogation in this specific context, offering deep engagement and potential useful insights. Understanding AI in this setting will help using AI better in any setting.
