SBS on board with The Herald’s Budget Briefing

 

Strathclyde Business School is one of the sponsors of The Herald Budget Briefing Breakfast on March 12, with Fraser of Allander director Professor Graeme Roy one of the panellists at the event.

The 2020 budget is due to be announced on March 11 where the Government’s plans for taxation, benefits, spending and forecasts for the economy will be set out. The event will put the budget in the spotlight with industry experts giving their analysis of what the budget means.

Professor Roy is Director of the Fraser of Allander Institute (FAI) and head of the Economics Department at Strathclyde Business School. He is a former Senior Civil Servant in the Scottish Government where he was both a Senior Economic Adviser and Head of the First Minister’s Policy Unit.

He will be joined by Fraser Campbell, Partner, Campbell Dallas, Roger Clark, Head of Wealth Management, Brown Shipley, Grant Johnston, Partner and Head of Wealth Planning, Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP

Professor Roy said, “I’m delighted to be joining the panel to discuss what will be an interesting UK Budget, with implications both for the future direction of UK economic policy but also the Scottish Budget”.
