SBS speaker at Connect with Climate Change virtual series

The University of Strathclyde, University of Glasgow and ScottishPower are hosting Connect with Climate Change Events, a virtual exchange series which will take place throughout 2021 in the run up to COP26.
Dr Andrea Coulson, Department of Accounting and Finance at Strathclyde Business School, will be one of the speakers at the first event of this online series which is entitled "Climate Change - the Financial Conundrum of the Century" and takes place on Janaury 28. Andrea will be joined by Lotte Beekenkamp, Innovation Analyst Accentures and board member 2050 Climate Group; Charles Langan, Head of Finances and Resource, ScottishPower; and Professor Duncan Maclennan, Professor of Public Policy, University of Glasgow.
The Connect with Climate Change series aims to offer a platform to engage with academics, students, public and businesses sharing ideas and views on a range of climate change topics. In advance of COP26 coming to Glasgow, these events will focus on “real time” discussions around the different climate issues, providing a forum where, through open dialogue, convention can be questioned and act as a catalyst for positive sustainable change.
Participants will learn more about what it means for businesses to make climate-friendly financial decisions. Many strategies exist for companies to tackle climate change, for instance, reducing carbon use and carbon emissions or investing in green technology or social enterprise. The series' speakers will be discussing how transparency can be ensured and how responsible decision making can be used to lead towards a better future for all.
Register to attend here and to be kept informed about future events in the series.
