PrOPEL Hub: Insights and Legacies conference

A two-day conference organised by the Strathclyde-led ESRC PrOPEL Hub: www.propelhub.org will bring together researchers and stakeholders interested in how workplace practice can support fair work, employee voice, wellbeing, innovation and productivity.
The conference will take place at the Technology and Innovation Centre, University of Strathclyde on November 15 and 16. The ESRC-funded PrOPEL Hub launched in early 2020 bringing together experts across nine Universities and the CIPD, sharing a common interest in understanding the role of workplace practice in tackling the UK’s productivity puzzle.
The ESRC PrOPEL Hub network has connected the research of scholars working on key issues including: remote working; job quality; fair work; work engagement; workplace wellbeing; conflict resolution; people management in SMEs; and evidence-based HRM. The network has engaged with the CIPD and other stakeholder organisations to develop new approaches to transferring knowledge into practice and the November conference will report key research findings and also discuss strategies for influencing policy and practice, as well as identifying next steps for the PrOPEL Hub.
Speakers at the Strathclyde event include a number of academics: Professor Sara Connolly, University of East Anglia; Professor Kevin Daniels, University of East Anglia; Professor Alan Felstead, Cardiff University; Professor Patricia Findlay, University of Strathclyde; Professor Richard Kneller, University of Nottingham; Professor Paul Latreille, University of Sheffield; Professor Monder Ram, Aston University; Professor Rebecca Riley, King’s College, London; Professor Julia Rouse, Manchester Metropolitan University; Professor Graeme Roy, University of Glasgow; Professor Richard Saundry, University of Westminster; Professor Peter Urwin, University of Westminster; Professor Chris Warhurst, University of Warwick.
